Report from the Ukhta Church of Christ for August 2005

Dear brothers and sisters in the University Church of Christ:

We thank you for your generous support of our work in Ukhta. We apologize for the delay of our report in August as we had no internet connection when we returned from the children mission trip to Syktyvkar, Kirov, Vyatskie, and Polyani.

It was a remarkable children mission trip through two large regions in Russia - the Komi Republic and the Kirov region (on the border with the Tatar Republic ). We traveled 2307 kilometers.

Our mission team consisted of two adults and five children. We distributed free New Testaments, teaching those we gave New Testaments to (168 copies ). During the trip, our children learned by heart the following Bible passages:

   Psalm 23,
   Psalm 119:11,
   Matthew 28:18-20,
   Matthew 6:9-13,
   John 3:16,
   Mark 16:15-16,
   2 Timothy 3:16-17,
   Galatians 3:28.

Moreover, we helped Christian families in the Vyatskie Polyani and Kirov with harvesting their crops.

Proudly, children painted the fence around new Church's building in the city of Vyatskie Polyani where the minister is my friend and classmate in Bible school. His name is Gennady Pekarev.

Another important news:

   Alexey, 32, geologist, was baptized.
Leonard Shilchov, 71, and Maria Kovaleva, 92 died.
We bought an apartment for Church's gathering in the city of Yarega where we started teaching.

Thank you again!

In Christian love

Vladimir and Muza, Ukhta Church of Christ
